I just cannot believe it. this company is super honest, and just WORKS.
I have a Nanode VM and I get around so much internet ...展开
speed. its written they give 40Gbps but thats the MAX speed. Not guarnrnteed. getting 7000mbps from a 5$ server is just awesome.
I got a 80GB ssd vm with them too, they didn't give 80GB, they advertise as 80GB but give 85GB. this is truly caring about customers.
only problem, the bandwidth cap is low! like 20TB for a 960$ machine!
sorry for my bad english, but this company is just amazing, fastcomet uses this company as their host itself.
DSL Internet service, 1&1
Whatever happened to the old fashioned days, where you pay for something and are satisfied with...展开
your purchase?? I guarantee you this is not what 1&1 stands for. They are cheats. If you do not check every bill they charge you for, you will discover too late that they are over charging you. And when asked, they will inform you, that you only have 8 weeks to report it. EX. You have a contract that stated you pay for the router for 2 years and then its yours. At 1&1 they do not automatically stop collecting the router charge after 2 yrs, unless u call them. Even after calling, they inform you, that you have to tell them to cancel it, otherwise they don't. When you tell them to cancel it, they tell you that they will have to put you in a new binding contract for 2 more extra years. And when you refuse, they say you have to stay in that old contract and pay the 5 extra euros. A more stupid system, I have not encountered. They seem cheaper and perhaps are cheaper than other providers, for that you get rude customer service, rules that make no sense and best believe they will try to charge you and take more money every chance they get. Run away. 1&1 is horrible!!!
And if you are about to get in it... please read the fine print!! The smaller the letters, the more important the message!
Seriously? I wasted my time setting up the server only to find out that Linode wouldn't provide me with a third Ipv4. Here is...展开
"Due to the global shortage of IPv4 addresses, this would not be an acceptable justification for an additional IP address for your Linode. Along with this, I would like to point out that having your nameservers on the same linode that serves your content will create a single point of failure, which I wouldn't recommend."
Not acceptable? They have to approve if I need it or not? Do they know my business' needs more than I do? That my go well in China where you have to get permission to take a shit. Plain BS. Digital Ocean provides the IPv4 without any questions.
I will never, ever try them again!
