al times until we came to Liquid web.
1: Relibility - second to none.
2: Support - I have never seen support as good as these guys. No matter when we call in or what we call in for, they just know it, eager to help, and take ownership. Never, would they take shortcuts or drop the ball.
3: Managed Servers: Managed servers really means managed servers. I never worry about it. Also, their servers are highly optimized. There is never the talk about upsell. Just straight honest.
4. Speed: Tier1 provider, need I say more?
5. Uptime: Network uptime is 100%.
6: Price: Worth every penny and their price is really competitive.
One of our websites was under attack recently and we worked with engineer Jaime Martinez who not only detected the issue and addressed it, he also did some serious optimizations proactively without asking (just asked for approval as he saw some good room for improvement). Honestly, whatever he did just made the server fly like never before. This triggered me to come and write this review.
Don't get a fibre connection through Afrihost I have had a Vumatel fibre connection since 2018. My ISP is Afrihost. Initiall...展开
y I had a 5Mbps line which was adequate for my needs. They discontinued this and I was forced to go to a 10Mbps connection. For most of this time I have had excellent service from Afrihost. On my last account I was suddenly charged R907 from the previous R697. The payment did not go through. I queried the reason for the massive increase and was given the run around without being able to get an answer. R907 is the cost of their 29Mbps offering which I never asked for and do not need. I have refused to pay and they have suspended the service. I have asked the account manager to contact me but this has not happened. I want to cancel the service but cannot until I pay the R907 which is incorrect. I cannot get a new ISP until it is cancelled and they release the line. I have no option but to pay, cancel the contract, get them to release the line so that I can find a new ISP. I am amazed that Afrihost would rather lose a 3 year old customer just to get an extra R210 than correct the account. Don't deal with Afrihost.
