no software changes, just uploaded my backup files. Ran PCI scan, passed with 100%, no warnings, no issues at all, first time.
I recommend them if you need PCI DSS compliant hosting. They have hardened, compliant hosting solutions, framed in a familair CPanel.Net based environment. Won't break your wallet, either.
I'm giving KnownHost a 10/10. After testing about a dozen hosting companies in the US and elsewhere, in 2013 I settled with K...展开
H, and have been impressed with them from day 1.
They deliver what they promise, and their service is unrivalled. I don't know any company (even Apple) that has support staff who are so friendly, knowledgeable and fast.
Listen, I love Canvas Host and their mission, but their prices and support are something important to me. As a fellow Oregoni...展开
an, I would love to support canvas host. They are local and have an office right here in downtown. The only problem is that I tried submitting multiple sales tickets to them, all of which got closed without any response. I thought I accidentally got IP blocked or something, so I switched emails and changed wifi and again, my ticket was closed without a response. I then left several voicemails on their sales line, and no call back.
After numerous tries, I decided to press 2 and talk to support. A nice man answered, and he was defiently professional and spoke fluent english. Right off the bat I can tell this guy is out sourced. As a web develpo, I know the sound of a tawk.to chat starting, and I heard multiple chats buzzing and going off while I'm on the phone with this guy. It's obvious he's trying to talk to me while answering chats from different hosts?
How do I know that it's outsoucrd, well first off, he told me. But second, I heard the Tawk.To chat widget going off, and Canvas Host dosn't have a live chat feature, so it was a dead giveaway.
Finally he opened the ticket back up, and then got an email back a few days later saying they can't match my requirement's. I'm not mad that they couldn't meet my required specs because their are things they can and can't do, but the fact that I had to wait weeks, call sales twice and leave voicemails, call Canvas Host support, and then get a ticket response a few days later means I loose money and time.
As a web developer, I've had multiple clients from Canvas Host. Most of them older and unfamilar with what even a website is. They chose Canvas Host because they are local, but when I heard a 3 page, html and CSS website was costing them $35 dollars a month, I was in shock. They told me the sales team reccomend that certain plan for them. These elderly people were trying to run a real estate business and it feels like they got scammed. I told them to get a lower price and leave, because that's almost what I pay for a year for my web hosting. I mean, your shared hosting and reseller hosting prices speak for themselves. I don't know how they do it, but those are prices I would never pay.
But C'mon. $10 a month for
1 hosted website
10 GB storage
50 GB bandwidth
10 MySQL databases
I want to join canvas host, but prices and support like this drives me far away. These prices are like a scam. And it might be because they label themselves as "Eco Website Hosting", but I have a server in Bend Oregon that's also "Eco Website Hosting" and a fraction of your monthly price.
I wish I could be leaving a good review for Canvas Host, but I just can't.
