ompare the typical low-cost companies such as GoDaddy, Bluehost and the like, I think NameCheap is the best option, AND THE ONLY ONE THAT OFFERS A SUPPORT TICKET SYSTEM, while competitors only offer chat and phone - this latter fact is just ridiculous btw.
The only thing I didn't like is speed - if we compare website speed, NameCheap is clearly the worst option. But hey, low cost shared hosting is not for serious businesses where speed is really important.
NameCheap's domain hosting is one of the bests in the market, and their private email hosting is also top notch.
I also really like their UI. It's very user-friendly, very well designed, actually one of the best hosting backend design I've ever seen.

o upgrade. No one could tell me what level I should upgrade to based on the traffic the server was receiving, so I just bumped it up to the next level. The pricing ended up being more than what they told me it would be. So when I realized I would upgrade yet again to the next level, I was talking to their sales support and asked for an EXACT quote of the price I would have to pay if I upgraded. The salesperson said "Considering recent your renewal invoice payment- those funds can pay for the first month of hosting, leaving you $6.02 credit for the renewal invoice" This is a direct quote. So imagine my confusion when I went to upgrade and they tried charging me $8 for the upgrade. When I asked them about it, they continued to just tell me that I was misunderstanding what the sales rep had told me. Read that line and tell me how it could be interpreted as anything other than "upgrading is free, and you will have $6 credit towards next month". Ridiculous service, and I definitely won't be renewing.
Appalling service and not a good attitude from chat assistant either. They automatically turn on auto renewal. In my case I c...展开
ontacted them within 24 hours of them taking money for a domain that was to rollover about 28 days later. I did not want to keep the domain and asked for a refund. They advised they would not refund because auto renewal was on. Now if it was after the domain registration date I would understand, but a month before? Unacceptable. This would not happen in the UK.
