I have a physical server hosted by HOSTKEY in the Netherlands, and my experience with this provider has been extremely disappointing. They experienced
... a major, prolonged outage that seriously affected my services and business operations.
Instead of taking responsibility and offering fair compensation or a refund for the downtime, HOSTKEY representatives tried to avoid reimbursing me, even though the incident was caused by their infrastructure. On top of that, their proposed “solution” was to charge me extra for migrating the server to Finland. In other words, the customer is expected to pay additional fees to fix the consequences of a problem caused by the provider.
Their communication showed no empathy, flexibility, or genuine concern for the customer. Rather than trying to regain the trust of a client affected by a serious incident, they seemed more interested in avoiding financial responsibility and collecting additional charges.
Based on my experience, HOSTKEY does not treat its customers with respect and does not handle major incidents professionally. I cannot recommend this provider to anyone who needs reliable infrastructure, fair support, and accountability when problems occur.
